This colorful and eclectic Persian/ Greek wedding was just as radiant as this couple from Belgium - a true reflection of their personalities to say the least!
I met Persian beauty Sofia and her handsome half Greek husband Christophe for the first time in Athens. We spend the whole day together looking at venues around the Athens Riviera. From the first moment, we had an instant connection and it soon became clear that planning their wedding would be something that would feel so natural. Something that really stood out for me was that, although these two are together for some years now, they were still absolutely head over heels in love with each other, knowing that they have found their other half. In the year that I have grown to know them well, I have been impressed by the absolute determination they have to succeed whatever goal they have set for themselves. Whether it is in their studies, their friendships and of course, in their love for each other!
The wedding took place at a stunning seafront wedding venue at the Athens Riviera. With green grass, palm trees and of course a breathtaking view over the Aegean. The wedding ceremony was definitely unconventional as we combined two traditional ceremonies in one. The wedding started off with a symbolic Greek Orthodox ceremony and was followed by an Iranian ceremony, with a beautifully styled table containing elements that symbolize prosperity, health, and love. The color palette that we choose for this wedding was bold and vibrant, and a mixture of different patterns representing a bit of Persian ambiance. Shades of pink, red, gold and blue were creating a super fresh and young wedding vibe, just like Sofia and Christophe!
