A luxurious olive grove wedding in Hydra

Handsome Constantinos and beautiful Eleni met each other a little over one year ago in Spetses. Constantinos, who is from Cyprus, missed his ferry to return to Athens and ran into beautiful half Greek, half Dutch Eleni, who was working on her laptop at a café in the harbour and also waiting for her ferry. From the first glance and talk, they were inseparable. They fell head over heels in love and soon travelled all over the world together. Constantinos knew directly that Eleni was 'the one' for him and asked her to get married after only a few months. However, when you meet them you would think that they have been together for years. They are, in my eyes, a match made in heaven and the true example that faith can bring people together.

Eleni and Constantinos were searching for a location near to Athens so that their friends and family that flew in for their special day could easily join the wedding. After a few site visits, they were directly sold by enchanting, artistic, and cosmopolitan Hydra. Hydra is, by far, one of the most special little islands in Greece as there aren't any vehicles allowed which makes people move in a slower pace. The transportation goes by water taxi's or donkeys, which gives a unique vibe to your stay and an amazing experience for your guests.

We directly knew that the olive grove at the Four Seasons in Hydra, a boutique luxury hotel, was the perfect spot to have dinner and the party. The concept was to create an enchanted olive grove with fairy lights and a customized 35-meter long table where 120 guests were seated. The styling was ultra chic, where we used a lot of natural elements to complement the scenery and to perfectly blend in. From the 45-meter cotton lace tablecloth to the cotton linen menu's, the olive branch centrepieces, the personalized kombeloi's, and the beautiful watercolor cake to represent the water - we definitely thought carefully about each little detail.

The 3-day celebrations started the night before the wedding with the pre-wedding drinks at Sunset Restaurant, where all 150 guests got served delicious summer cocktails and a rich buffet of finger foods. The day after was the day of the wedding, d-day! The guests were transported from the harbor with water taxi's to a small Greek chapel to witness the Greek Orthodox ceremony. Afterwards, the guests were transported by the same water taxi's to the Four Seasons to join the dinner and party. The party took off with an amazing Greek live band and when everyone was warmed up, the DJ took over and played until the early hours. The day after the wedding, the couple had arranged a post-wedding barbecue on the beach, where everyone relaxed all day long to recover from a breathtaking and super touching event! What an amazing wedding but moreover, what a fantastic, real and warm couple!
