Social Media Intern - 10-15 hours per week (NL - remote working is possible)

Do you breathe Instagram & Pinterest, are you spending more time online than offline, are you always on top of the latest online trends and able to translate those trends into epic social media campaigns? Then we're looking for you! 

As a creative social media intern you'll be working closely with our founder on developing the brand identity of Sand+Lace Events. You'll be making sure that Sand+Lace Events will distinguish itself as an innovative and creative wedding planning agency by letting the creative juices flow like no other. 

Which skills are we looking for?​

  • You have social media skills that are to die for

  • You have experience with graphic/ illustrating programs such as Adobe Photoshop 

  • You have excellent knowledge of the English written language 

  • You have a creative brain and are content driven 

  • Desirable: video and photography skills 

What do we look for in a person?

  • You are super creative and have an affinity with fashion, weddings and lifestyle 

  • You are following a relevant study (such as communication, advertising, media)

  • You are not afraid to take risks or pitch out of the box ideas

  • You are energetic, you have a good sense of humor and able to work in a non-conventional work atmosphere

  • You take initiative and are a self-starter

What will you be doing?

  • Bring our social media channels to a higher level

  • Creation and coordination of our current social media channels

  • Working on introducing other social media channels and help with content creations

  • Creating a content calendar

  • Analyzing and optimizing content

  • Staying on top of all the latest social trends and translating them for our niche

Event Project Manager/ Wedding Planner (remote working is possible)

You are ok with 50 tabs open (on your desktop and in your mind), out of office hours Zoom calls (timezones are a bitch) and more steps per summer than a trained athlete. 

Yes, that's right! Sand+Lace Events is looking for a creative and energetic event project manager that has a bird's eye view with super strong communicative skills. You are structured, love a good challenge and able to level with people (and have a good sense of humor). We promise it will be the ride of a lifetime! 

Which skills are we looking for? 

  • You have a background (or an affinity) in event/ wedding planning

  • You are able to work with all types of budgets 

  • You have excellent communication skills 

  • You are able to work with people from all cultural backgrounds

  • You have very strong organizational skills

  • You are fluent in English

  • You are a rockstar at vendor relationship management

  • You are a true creative and very hands-on

  • You have excellent research skills

  • (having excellent stamina is not bad either ;))

What do we look for in a person?

  • You are someone that understands the importance of the service that we provide and act accordingly (usually couples get married once in their life, not the ideal day to call in sick ;))

  • You are naturally optimistic and a solution seeker

  • You have a bird's eye view and you are able to shift quickly between different projects and people

  • You are representative and able to travel around the world for short periods of time from May-October

  • You have worked (or are willing to work) with different online tools such as Slack, Monday and Google Drive

  • You like to stay ahead of the curve and you are keeping yourself educated and up to date on all things relevant to the work field 

  • You are not under the impression that it's all glamour and glitter (ok, sometimes it is) 

What will you be doing? 

  • You will develop the event concept and plan, by working closely with the client

  • Based on all this information and budget, you will research, contact and match event elements and vendors

  • Whenever needed, you will negotiate contracts

  • You will manage event logistics, such as transportation, accommodation and venue preparation

  • You will actively collaborate with clients before and during the event

  • You will be on-site of the event
