A Romantic Greenhouse Wedding at Estufa Fria, Lisbon

Lisbon has a very particular kind of beauty. Colorful façades, patterned tiles, sun-washed buildings and streets that seem to change character around every corner. It feels vibrant and layered, a little imperfect, and completely full of life.

And hidden almost unexpectedly amongst it all, right in the centre of the city, was the setting for this celebration: Estufa Fria.

Stepping inside felt like discovering another world. Suddenly, the city disappeared behind lush greenery, glass, stone and filtered light. It was this beautiful little contradiction - a wedding surrounded by nature, while still being right in the heart of Lisbon.

Guests travelled from different parts of the world to Portugal to celebrate together, and that sense of coming together became the heart of the wedding. Rather than designing something that felt overly formal or staged, we wanted the setting to feel warm, abundant and alive.

The décor followed the character of the space. colorful Florals and greenery worked with the surroundings rather than competing with them, while beautifully dressed tables, candlelight and thoughtful details transformed the greenhouse into an intimate yet vibrant dinner setting. As daylight disappeared, the atmosphere shifted with it - from romantic garden celebration into a proper party with the incredible talented musicians and performers from the function band leading the way.

What we loved most was that the wedding still felt unmistakably like Lisbon: colorful, unexpected, full of character and made for long evenings spent around a table with people you love.

A celebration of love, friendship and people traveling across the world to be together - hidden away in a greenhouse in the middle of the city.
