Vini & Aneil: A Three-Day Destination Wedding in Antiparos

A celebration of culture, creativity and connection, unfolding across three beautiful summer days on the Greek island of Antiparos.

Some weddings stay with you long after the last dance. Not only because of how they looked or where they took place, but because of the people behind them.

Vini and Aneil's three-day destination wedding in Antiparos was one of those celebrations.

Based in New York, with Indian and Polish heritage woven into their story, Vini and Aneil share a beautiful appreciation for art, literature and the little things that make life extraordinary. Thoughtful, curious, endlessly kind and wonderfully collaborative, they approached their wedding with an openness that made the entire creative journey feel particularly special.

And perhaps that journey is where this story should begin.

Getting to Know Each Other, Long Before the Wedding

A year before their July 2026 wedding, we spent several days together exploring Paros and Antiparos.

We visited venues, discovered beautiful corners of the islands, exchanged ideas and, perhaps most importantly, simply spent time together.

It reminded us of something we deeply believe in at Sand+Lace: understanding a couple goes far beyond discussing colour palettes, flowers or timelines.

It's about understanding how they see the world, what moves them, what makes them feel comfortable and what they want their celebration to mean.

Being physically present in a space also changes the creative process. You begin to understand the light, the atmosphere, the surroundings and the possibilities in a way that photographs and floor plans can never fully communicate.

Of course, travelling to Greece before the wedding isn't always possible for destination couples. But when the opportunity arises, it can become an invaluable part of the journey.

For Vini and Aneil, those days together laid the foundation for a celebration that would feel entirely their own.

Day One: A Relaxed Welcome Celebration at Sifneiko, Antiparos

The celebrations began at Sifneiko on Antiparos, with an intimate, laid-back welcome gathering.

The idea was simple: good food, good drinks and the pleasure of being together.

With delicious catering by Marios Catering from Paros and drinks served by Sifneiko, the evening was deliberately uncomplicated. No elaborate styling, no overwhelming programme, just a beautiful setting where guests could reconnect, settle into island life and enjoy the beginning of three days together.

It reflected something Vini and Aneil had expressed from the very beginning: they wanted their wedding to feel like a holiday shared with their favourite people.

Relaxed, welcoming and full of moments that could unfold naturally.

Day Two: A Colourful Sangeet-Inspired Celebration at The Rooster

The following day, the celebrations moved to The Rooster, a beautiful retreat on Antiparos where many of the guests were also staying.

For their Sangeet-inspired gathering at the property's farmhouse, we embraced colour, movement and a wonderfully expressive approach to floral design.

Inspired by the vibrant outfits and festive spirit of the occasion, we worked with the talented team at Redbox Days to create architectural floral arrangements combining flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables.

The result was playful, sculptural and full of unexpected details. Rather than relying on traditional floral compositions, we explored the relationship between natural materials, colour and form, creating arrangements that felt almost like contemporary still-life installations.

A scent station by Event in a Bar added another sensory element to the celebration, inviting guests to experience something beyond the visual.

As the evening unfolded, Bollywood-inspired performances brought everyone together, followed by food, music and dancing.

It was joyful, expressive and beautifully personal. A celebration of cultural influences, creativity and togetherness, with the relaxed atmosphere that had become the thread connecting all three days.

Day Three: An Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Agrilia Estate

For the wedding day itself, we moved to Agrilia Estate, a stunning private villa on Antiparos surrounded by natural beauty.

The creative direction evolved once again.

Where the previous evening had been vibrant and playful, the wedding design introduced a more contemporary, architectural approach, with warmer floral tones, sculptural compositions and carefully considered details.

Touches of red and pink brought richness to the palette, while Indian-inspired stationery, lovingly designed by Vini herself, added a meaningful and deeply personal layer to the setting.

The symbolic wedding ceremony took place near the estate's chapel, surrounded by the people who had travelled to Greece to celebrate with them.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktails by the pool before moving towards one of our favourite settings of the entire celebration.

Dinner Among the Olive Trees

Behind Agrilia Estate, an olive grove became the setting for an unforgettable wedding dinner.

Long tables were arranged to embrace the landscape, positioned so guests could enjoy the golden evening light as the sun slowly descended behind the olive trees.

There was something almost cinematic about the scene.

The warmth of the setting sun, the sculptural floral arrangements, the long tables stretching through the grove and the beautiful simplicity of dining together outdoors created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and extraordinary.

Rather than competing with the surroundings, the design worked in harmony with them, allowing the natural beauty of Antiparos to become an essential part of the experience.

For us, this is where thoughtful wedding design truly comes to life: when the setting, the concept and the people feel completely connected.

Dancing Beneath the Antiparos Sky

As dinner came to an end, guests made their way back towards the estate's expansive lawn, where an entirely different atmosphere awaited.

A large overhead truss structure, dressed with greenery and florals, framed the party space, with a dedicated bar and plenty of room to dance.

What followed was exactly what Vini and Aneil had hoped for: an incredible celebration filled with music, laughter and dancing that continued well into the early hours of the morning.

Three days, three different settings, and countless moments shared.

A Wedding That Was Always About More Than One Day

Looking back, what made Vini and Aneil's wedding so special was the freedom to create something that reflected the many different sides of who they are.

Their appreciation for art and beauty. Their cultural backgrounds. Their love of meaningful conversations, good food and the people around them. And above all, their desire for everyone to feel comfortable, connected and genuinely happy.

Each day had its own identity, yet together they formed one cohesive experience.

For us at Sand+Lace, it was also a reminder of how much the relationship between a couple and their creative team can shape the final result.

The trust, the conversations, the time spent exploring and the freedom to create together became just as meaningful as the celebration itself.

And we couldn't have imagined a lovelier couple to share that journey with.
